20-3553 HeartCode® Basic Life Support (BLS) Online

Part # 20-3553 HeartCode BLS Online is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method that uses adaptive learning technology for the AHA’s BLS Course. HeartCode BLS Online delivers quality resuscitation education by utilizing a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, Cognitive Assessment Activities, illustrations, knowledge checks, and interactive activities. This self-paced delivery method provides learners a personalized learning path that adapts in real-time to the learner’s performance. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each knowledge check and each Cognitive Assessment Activity. This method of learning provides training consistency and adaptability to different learning styles. Providers first complete the cognitive portion of HeartCode BLS Online and then complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS Instructor or on a simulation station, using voice-assisted manikins with real-time audio and visual feedback. Upon successful completion of the online portion of HeartCode BLS Online, a certificate of completion will be issued and can be printed in English only.

This course includes a drop-down menu that allows the learner to take the course in one of eight languages: U.S. English, IVE, Chinese Simplified, Japanese, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. Included in HeartCode BLS Online is a translated version of the BLS Provider Manual eBook (Based on the language selected). For all languages selected, the course will reference the imperial system, and other U.S. based terminology. This does not apply to IVE.
